Who is the right person to work on your next digital project? It is a harder question than it looks. Here is my answer, and a few from people who have already hired me.
Picking the right person
Do they have the experience and the technical know-how? Can they turn what you think you want into something that actually works? How do they communicate, and will they be around when it matters, fixing the pothole before the tyre bursts? Should you go with an agency or a freelancer? Is the price fair, or are you being taken for a ride?
All hard to answer, all crucial. Rather than tell you why I am the right choice, I will let clients do the talking.

A few things I believe in
Working together
Good collaboration is what lets me do my best work. A website is a complex beast, but nobody knows your business like you do. Your insight is what turns a good project into a great one.
Being proactive
I will not take your money and apply a formula. I treat you and your business as individuals and build a solution that works for you, then tell you when something needs attention before you have to ask.
Loving what I do
Shipping something that works and does the job it was built for is deeply satisfying. Digital changes daily, and learning daily is how the quality of the work stays high.
The short version of me
I started Digital Freelancer after several years at a digital agency, where I learnt the craft and also learnt what clients were paying for that they did not need. I am Google Analytics and Google Ads qualified and a certified Google Partner, and I still enjoy learning this stuff daily.
Before digital, I spent eight years in social services working with young offenders. Tangible outcomes were rare in that job. They are the best part of this one.
I moved to Sydney from Germany in 2005 and have called the Northern Beaches home ever since, along with my family and two Burmese cats who supervise most of my work.
Also on the other side of the world
In 2020 I founded Tiki-Taka Media, a performance marketing agency with offices in Hamburg and on Mallorca. Digital Freelancer stays my Australian home base for websites, online stores, SEO and Google Ads for small business. Same person, same phone number.
