Eco Toy Bricks is an online retail start-up selling environmentally friendly building blocks for children. They wanted to save the world through the online sales channel. Practically, that meant a store that is easy to use, takes payments securely and shows the products at their best.
The brief
After a short conversation about the business, its products, audience and budget, I recommended building the store on WordPress. An online store needs far more than a brochure site: customer accounts, a secure checkout, product options, gift cards, shipping rules and a catalogue that is easy to keep current.
What I did
Once the project plan was agreed I designed and built the store end to end: information architecture, design, development, product set-up and the marketing plumbing behind it, from conversion tracking to automated emails.
Outcome
The finished store pairs solid ecommerce UX with a cute design that fits the brand. My job did not end at launch. I run ongoing digital marketing for the store, sending traffic its way through paid search, SEO, social media and email.
