The Dog House Manly is a bespoke dog-walking service on the Northern Beaches. When Delphi started the business she needed a website that could promote it now and grow with it later, on a small budget.
Background
A new business with big plans and no online presence. The site had to be built in a way that scales, because the plans for the business were already well under way.
The process
After one scoping meeting to pin down the requirements, I designed and built a responsive WordPress site. It went live within two weeks.
Delphi was the ideal partner on this one: proactive, quick with content and clear about what she wanted. That is a large part of why it moved so fast, and working with people who care about their business is one of the things I like most about this job.
Built for search engines from the first line
Clean, semantic HTML and CSS so search engines can read the site as easily as a person can. Sensible headings, structured data for rich results and a layout that adapts from a phone to a widescreen monitor. The design is clean, modern and a little bit fun, which puts it ahead of the pack in a crowded local market.
Outcome
Built on a budget, built to be the backbone of a small business, and the feedback from the people it was made for has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Thanks for all your hard work. A website really is the backbone of a business and I will be proud to refer people to it. It does look good and, more importantly, its functionality works.”
